The other day I was talking with a friend, well we were arguing about an event and what really happened. To settle it, my friend pulled out their smartphone and scrolled through their images to find the one that would prove one way or another, who was right. As we waited for the search end, my friend commented that they had to "clean up" to free up space.
This caused a turn in the conversation to data storage, physical vs. cloud and so on. For computers we can plug in a USB drive, push to a cloud account and the like. What about our mobile devices and tablets? Depending on your mobile device there may be a built-in method of storing "off-device" but what about sharing with others - assuming you are not using Facebook or something? What about when stuck on the road?
I read this article SanDisk Connect Wireless Media Device Shares Well With Others on AllThingsD by Katherine Boehret and this looks like a possible solution. With the large 64 GB storage, small body and reported long up time, it might make things easy for the parent with car full of kids on a long ride as well as the business traveler. Bonus, it seems to work in across digital "spheres" - Kindle, Apple, Google… Take a read maybe when they become available, they are currently out of stock, it will be something to help with your digital storage and sharing. I should also mention, for my friends that love their SD cards, there's a slot for those. The SanDisk website has all the specs for your consideration and link to where to buy. I plan on keeping an eye on this one, Christmas is not that far away...
